Hey You, 2018-ongoing

A text editor is projected onto a papered-over storefront window. A camera lens is visible through a hole in the paper, and a tripod casts a shadow. The artist is out of sight, with access to a live video and audio feed. Live generated text calls out to passersby, identifying them individually by elements of their clothing, etc., asking them to stop and chat. When a pedestrian stops, the voice asks where they are going and laments its loneliness and bodilessness.
