Otherwise (Piece for One), 2019-20
At the entrance to a room or enclosure, projected text asks the visitor to wait for the next “show” and to enter the room alone. When a digital countdown reaches 00:00, projected text instructs the visitor to enter through the curtains. Upon entering, the visitor is guided through a series of movements and speech actions by text and diagrammatic markings projected on the floor. At the end of the experience, the visitor is instructed to leave the room through the curtains.
